GM, Bing, and staying healthy

GM

I realize that GM is "too big" to fail, and that the federal government was forced into becoming a buyer/owner of most of its operations (debt). But really, when is enough, enough. GM made poor business decisions for a very long time. Their business model was built on a foundation of cars that the majority of people do not want to drive. They pumped out SUVs and other automobiles that were inefficient and of substandard quality for so long, something had to give. Do I feel bad for the "Joe" who lost his assembly line job he had for 25 years, absolutely. Hopefully when all is said and done, GM can produce a vehicle that I, and others, are happy to drive.

Bing

Really how many search engine choices do you need? And how many ways can you present a result set from a web search engine query? Bing's front page is pretty...looks almost "Windows" like in the color scheme and lines/shapes. But I am going to stick with Google. Search engines are search engines...and nothing makes Bing stand out.

Staying Healthy

So far, I have managed to stay out of the hospital for this final round of chemotherapy. I hope it stays like this.

Sorry Geoff, but I disagree with your premise on GM. First and foremost, nothing is to big to fail. Secondly, the government snatched it up in a power grab on the march to socialism. SUVs are still very popular, while the energy crisis is a farce. The automobiles being "pumped out" had nothing to do with their problems, whereas the ludicrous union deals was the real issue and subsequent death blow to the company. Lastly, it won't matter what vehicle they produce, because the government's goal is to stamp out competition. In the end, if Obama gets his way, you'll get what you get.

Bing offers discounts on shopping online for just using the search engine. Google does not, so Bing saves me money.

Best of luck on your health. I have been praying for you.

I'm going to have to disagree with you, Geoff.

First, no one is too big to fail. Second, the cars that they were "pumping out" were not the issue so much as the ludicrous contracts to the labor unions which were what really caused the death blow to the company. Third, the government was not forced to take control. They eagerly went after them as part of Obama's plan to turn the country into a socialistic economy. Fourth, SUV's are still very popular and the whole energy crisis is a farce that has been pushed by the environmental movement. Lastly, it does not matter what cars GM will produce. In the end, if the Obama administration gets it's way, you won't have a car choice rather you'll just get what you get.

Bing provides discounts through using the link for online shopping. Thus, bing saves me money. Google does not do this. I like saving money.

Best of luck on your health issues. My family and I continue to pray for you.
